a little bit about me

After graduating in Paper Conservation at Camberwell School of Art, I began my career as the Egyptian Papyrus Conservation Officer at the British Museum. But a lot happened after that and I sought out more creative opportunities. Art was always a passion. Not sure I could ever have lived from it full-time in my earlier years, though. Hence I'm a Civil Servant by day and very interesting it is to be that. I hope it is easier now to find an exciting and profitable career in the creative industries, however. I did a foundation course at Leeds College of Art a few years ago and the scales dropped from my eyes. That's where I was introduced to new digital ways, including surface pattern design.

I live in Yorkshire having left London years ago. The luck in my daily existence is to have a great view from my front windows and constant inspiration from surrounding countryside and wildlife. It's been great during Lock Down. Plus, being able to paint and draw. That's all I need to say. I love it....and hope I can share some of this passion and bring some pleasure through my social media and the artworks I produce.
